SEATTLE: ShowThem is a Burlesque workshop taught by AOB Alumni Mx. Pucks A’Plenty (they/them). This course teaches Burlesque through a BIPOC and Fat Liberation lens, and is open to all people! Courses are 8 weeks long and held in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.
PORTLAND: Showgirl Temple is an online and in-person school led by Teachers’ Lounge Member, Eva D’Luscious. Heart-based classes celebrate the love of self!
MINNEAPOLIS: The Rose Academy of Burlesque is an in-person school led by Teachers’ Lounge Member Deeva Rose. The Rose Academy is an inclusive and fat- and body-positive dance school.
MONTREAL, CANADA: Arabesque Burlesque is a bilingual French/English school led by Teachers’ Lounge Member Lady Josephine offering in-person and on-demand online courses.
BALTIMORE: EssentialTease is an inclusive and body-positive school that offers online and in-person classes that combine essential burlesque knowledge with mind-body awareness techniques and wellness habits. The co-located collective of instructors includes Teachers’ Lounge Member Jacqueline Boxx.
VIRGINIA: Ellington Academy of Burlesque is a new school created by Teachers’ Lounge Member Lottie Ellington, offering online and in-person workshops where budding performers encouraged to grow and cultivate their art with an emphasis on providing opportunities for marginalized groups.
RIMINI, ITALY: Cuori e Burlesque offers a wide range of introductory and advanced classes in four cities in Italy. Online and in-person classes are led by Teachers’ Lounge Member Freaky Candy.
ONLINE: The Showgirl Awakening school offers an online experience to learn soul-centered Burlesque with Teachers’ Lounge Member Kellita, a brilliant and wise guide for a transformative journey.
NEW YORK: The New York School of Burlesque is the oldest continuously running Burlesque school (other than AOB!) led and operated by our colleague and co-conspirator, Jo “Boobs” Weldon. Online and In-person classes.
ONLINE: Ginger Valentine’s Strip School is an online-only program to learn dance skills, body confidence, and actual striptease routines with a performing Industry expert.
